If Mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy. (Ferrell Sims) What would make mama happy this Mother’s Day? We have the inside scoop that it is NOT breakfast in bed. On the other hand, some other traditional gifts – i.e. anything handmade, especially if it involves glue and macroni, are the gifts treasured for a lifetime. One of our customers says that on Mother’s Day her kids chip in and help her in the garden – and that’s her favorite gift! Sweet. A young man (about 5 years old) and his dad just came into Clementine and got mom this Glittersweet bag. So sweet. Whatever the gift, mom just likes to know that you love and appreciate her. Chie Mihara‘s Cody + red pants! I was recently in NYC where I noticed every baby, every girl, every woman wearing RED pants! To the right is the pair I am choosing for this season: J.Crew’s Café capri in geranium lace. I like how the lace diffuses the intensity of a red pant, while the price makes it easy to follow the red pant trend. Where I choose to put my $$$ is for the shoe on the left — our very own Chie Mihara ”Cody”. This sandal is walkable and versatile. Wear with your red pants to work or with a dress to date night. (Warning! this shoe is so hot, if worn for date night, come prepared. You know what we mean…)
