Our Guarantee

We at Clementine want you to be 100% satisfied with your shoes! Shoes that have not been worn and that are returned to us within 30 days, are refundable minus a small restocking fee of $9.00 per pair. We will provide simple instructions about returns upon request. Simply email us if you have any questions. If you typically have trouble finding shoes that fit, (most shoes are returned by reason of a poor fit) please telephone us or email us and we will be happy to give you more specific information on each item or style that interests you.

We do not refund return shipping costs except in cases where there is insurance coverage (e.g. some international orders) and when shipping failure or other no-fault damage is involved.

International Orders

Please contact us directly by email or telephone regarding the terms of our return/exchange guarantee as the situation varies by country or region. Restocking fees also vary by region or country.

Exchanges


In most cases exchanges are comprised of two discrete transactions and we prefer to deal with them separately, as a return and a new sale. Please contact us at the Seattle store, or by email, with any unusual circumstance regarding an exchange.

Payment Method

You may use any major credit card as per the current processing and acceptance policy at Paypal. All of our online CC transactions are handled via Paypal where you are also given the option of using your own preferred Paypal payment method. Those who do not have Paypal accounts simply use your major credit card and click (continue) thru checkout. Paypal has its own privacy and security policies which you may view here. Also, since Clementine is currently hosted at Yahoo as a Yahoo store (clementine-shoes.com) you may also be interested in the Yahoo privacy policy here.

Shipping (U.S. and Canada)


Free UPS Ground shipping inside the continental United States on orders of $100 or more.**
Orders under $100, $9.00 (for first pair of shoes), $2.00 for each additional item.

Canada, Alaska and Hawaii orders
are usually processed exactly like USA orders, including free shipping on orders of $100. We reserve the right to make exceptions to this policy and will contact you if we cannot ship free of charge to your shipping address.

Faster Delivery

Please contact us by telephone or email. Reliable methods and costs to many destinations vary widely and we prefer to agree mutually before proceeding.

Timing of your order and delivery.


Orders are normally processed and shipped the business day following receipt. You will receive an order confirmation by email the same day of your order provided it has arrived by noon Pacific Standard/Daylight Time. Otherwise, orders are confirmed and processed the next business day.* We will send tracking information by email immediately afterwards.

All orders are subject to reconfirmation of inventory on hand. We do not backorder any items.

 

UPS Ground shipping requires 5 to 7 business days (estimated).

UPS 2nd Day normally arrives on the second business day.

UPS Next Day arrives (late) on the next business day.

*Business days for purposes of shipping and shipping-time estimates are Monday through Friday, excluding USA National and Federal Holidays.

**Unfortunately, we cannot deliver to P.O. boxes or military APO/FPO addresses.

Washington State Sales Tax


We charge a flat rate (newly 9% as of May 2008) for all items shipped to Washington State. Though we know the rate varies locally inside of Washington, we pay our local amount based on where we sell and ship from under ordinary circumstances (such as sales concluded over the telephone). There may be some ambiguity/differences regarding our policy and current Internet sales regulations for our State. If so, we apologize for charging the nominally higher amount if you do not live in the Seattle metropolitan area.

International Orders - Online Shipping Quotation


We welcome opportunities to send our footwear and other merchandise offerings internationally. If in doubt, please contact us by telephone or email for a review of shipping method/cost calculation, etc. Please provide customs, insurance or other tax information where appropriate or necessary. You may order online, using the standard international rates shown at checkout (where available). However these rates are estimates of shipping costs only. We make every effort to present these rates/costs accurately, but cannot guarantee them. They are subject to a "confirmation of terms of sale" which we email you subsequent to your placing an order online. If we are unable to contact you (for any reason) in order to settle and agree on shipping terms within a "reasonable time period" (example: one week), we will void/reverse the transaction and cancel the order. We currently will ship a limit of two pairs of shoes per shipment to the following countries: United Kingdom, Ireland, Denmark, Austria, and Germany. We will soon add more countries to this list.
