We see pointed-toe flats and Pretty Polly hosiery in your future :-)
Pointed-toe flats were present in every showroom we visited at the Platform trade show. While toe shapes have ranged widely these past few years, the pointed toe seemed most prevalent when coupled with a spike heel. But they’re back in a big way for fall 2013, and felt especially fresh in feminine flats or funky little booties. The Clem crew agreed that we’re ready for this girly & gamine look; it’s a nice change from the menswear inspired look. Not that we give up the oxfords we’ve collected over the past couple of years, it’s just that we’re feeling the need to change it up in a sweet, girly way.
Which is maybe why nude hose are back (is it the influence of Kate Middleton? Madmen?) No matter the inspiration – we’re behind it. Why? It’s nice to see legs again! Leggings hide everything – why not be bold and show (perfected) skin? The best hose provide just enough coverage that your legs look like you, only better. Add butterflies and see what happens
