Clementine owner Linda Walsh opened her Seattle-based shoe and accessories boutique in 2006 to share her passion for beautiful shoes, unique style and well-made finds.
Born into a family with five older brothers, Linda was raised by a mother who was the epitome of feminine style. “A true beauty, my mom loved the color pink beyond any girlhood crush, and wore high heels every day of her life. She was thrilled to have a daughter she could dress up – I was just 3-months old when she permed the little topnotch of hair on my otherwise bald head.”
Linda still loves playing dress-up and is particularly inspired by the riotous expression of youth culture, French women, artists, and anyone who enjoys expressing herself through her own unique style.
Why shoes? “It has to do with an intrinsic love of three-dimensional, structural art of any kind. I love things that I can hold, that tell a story, and are beautiful to look at. Shoes fulfill that love for me, and are the piece of clothing most connected with how we travel through life. I want mine to be bold and to tell an interesting story.”
Clementine’s selection of gorgeous, stylish shoes and accessories sharply reflects Linda’s motto “have fun with your shoes. I certainly do.”
